As I sit here on my 18th birthday, 3 days from a year since you passed, all I can think about is how much I miss you. There has not been a day since you passed that I haven’t thought about you. I wish you were here to celebrate me becoming an adult. I wish you would be here to see me be and become the great person you always saw in me. I always think about you Kruk, you were never just my teacher ever, you were the father figure I needed. I don’t know who will end up seeing or reading this, but this man’s impact cannot be understated. He helped set me straight when I needed it. And loved me, he was truly the kind of person I want to be. I miss you everyday, I love you Kruk.
Happy heavenly birthday Kruk. We’re all celebrating you today and miss you!

Mr. Kruk’s impact on the lives and the positive influence he had in the classroom will always be remembered. My daughter and her classmates are heartbroken.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, ECHS community, and all who were touched by his wisdom and kindness. Rest in peace, Mr. Kruk.

I was shocked when I heard about Kruk's passing. I didn't feel sad about the passing for some odd reason but as I'm writing my condolences everything started to flood into me. It wasn't fair that he passed at such a young age where he had everything in his life. All I wish is for Kruk to rest peacefully and hopefully be reborn into a more fairer life.
I've had many great memories of Mr. Kruk over the past few years. From school projects to being the only two in the room during the craziness of the pandemic-learning phase (talking about what different foods we loved), to recently strategizing a plan to help our students with their learning just a couple of weeks ago. He is someone you can talk to about anything: chess, football, basketball, cooking, history, learning, life. Something I will remember about Mr. Kruk was what he said the night of my graduation before we all walked the stage... "If somebody made a difference in your life, and you appreciated them, say that to them tonight. Teacher, student, family, do that tonight." He made a difference in my life and in the lives of all of his students. Your memory will be a blessing in all of our lives, Mr. Kruk. Rest peacefully.
I still can hear his laughter and see his smile. Mr. Kruk will be greatly missed. He was one of my favorite teachers and with his support I was able to go as far as I did. He was definitely the dad to many students at school. We will always carry him in our hearts and know that he is in Heaven watching over his loved ones. We’ll pray for God’s strength and comfort for you and your family in the coming days. Love and prayers.
I remember Mr. Kruk talking with and helping me on graduation day back in May 2014. He was a caring teacher.

Mr. kruck was an amazing teacher. He blurred the lines of work and family and he treated his students like family. He was like a dad and i know that he must've been an even better father than a teacher. he was humorous and he loved sharing his interests and passions and stories about his family life, and his laugh would fill the room as he joked with students. He always had good intentions and he cared for people he didn't even know. One of those people were me, who usually stayed quiet in his class, but he payed attention to how everyone was feeling. he was like a father in the classroom and the dad of this school. I will never understand why he kept going to work. He was tired and needed sleep, yet he still came to his work. he changed everyone's lives and he will without a doubt, be there for his kids as they grow up.  "If failure's not fatal, a failure to change may be". Rest in peace
While I may not work at ECHS anymore, Mr. Kruk (or simply "Kruk" as I called him) was one of the reasons I smile when thinking back to my time at ECHS. From working with him to help our seniors graduate, to assisting him as we searched for the whereabouts of a particular student, Kruk brought me great joy and laughter each and every time. I am completely shocked by his passing, but I know that his spirit will forever live throughout the halls of ECHS's P-Bldg. My prayers and sincerest condolences to his family and close friends. May Joseph Kruk rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
Sending prayers of comfort to the family of Mr. Kruk.  I have only good memories of him from freezing in his room during staff meetings, sending for a cup of ice from his ice maker to sharing  secrets of how to cook his infamous brisket.   May every prayer whispered be felt as strength as you adjust to a new normal and accept what God allows.   Know that his students loved him as well.
Joe was a great Dad. I enjoyed getting to know him last volleyball season. He wasn’t always the first to speak up, but when he did it was thoughtful. He was always quick to compliment all the players on our team. He will be missed.
