Background
Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) is a rare blood disorder that is considered a true medical emergency. TTP is diagnosed at a rate of only three or four people in a million per year. Potentially fatal complications can result from internal blood clotting, with damage to critical organs such as the brain and heart.
Sydney Kodatsky, a dear family friend of Joe's, was originally diagnosed with TTP in September 2008. Since that time she has persevered through almost yearly relapses and garnered support for this orphaned condition along the way. Contribute
