To the Entire Bereaved Family of Bishop Joseph B. Jordan: You are in our prayers on the behalf of the family loss of a dear love one whom meant so much to you and everyone in his path. There comes a time in our lives where things or situations occur so suddenly , even though, we are not ready. Weeping may endure a little while with us physically but spiritually we know Joy comes in the morning. Bishop Jordan our pastor and friend in Jesus Christ was truly a gem.. a good heart person who cared about people and their souls, and an good example of a highly respected family man. We ask that GOD provide the family courage and strength you need at this time and the courage to continue on. Our thoughts of compassion are strongly felt... He's gone but memories will never be forgotten. May GOD uphold and keep you stronger day by day. We love you. With heartfelt sympathy, Sis. Nelson and Family
Bishop Joseph B. Jordan, Pastor A man who was faithful and concerned about others souls being saved. Bishop Jordan was a faithful leader. Now He that planteth and he that watereth are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God. Ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building according to the grace of God which is giving unto me, a wise master builder. I have laid the foundation and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed he buildeth thereupon. 1 Corinthians 8-10 That saying, Bishop Jordan would ask us to continue to run this race he never gave up or gave in. " Upon this Rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". Matthew 16:18 Therefore, he( Bishop Jordan) was determined to see the house of the LORD build where people could come and worship in spirit and in truth. A mind and the vision was given by God to lay the first brick and nail, the first piece of lumber that was soon laid with his own hands along with help of his family and others who contribute free material to help Bishop Jordan. He was determined working day and night until the church was finished enough for him to preach the word of God. Bishop Jordan dedicate the church to the Lord, who gave him the ability and strength to build. Because of his willingness, GOD was with him all the way. There were others who thought it would never happen. I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. Now along with Bishop Jordan was his family who closely stood by him encouraging him and believing in him as he believed that GOD will provide. "For where two or three gather together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" Matthew 18;20 today stands Bibleway True Holiness Church of God in Christ Congregational at 4003 Pocket Rd. a little church that sits on the side of the road still stands today. Other than being a pastor and overseer, Bishop Jordan was a kind and caring person. His spirit was pure and true to everyone. His character was a joy to be around. A person of character and wisdom. The moral of this story is NEVER doubt GOD about anything you do in this life and when you do ...do it all for the Glory of God and not man. Keep building in your hearts a very close relationship with God and your lives will reap good benefits and blessings! Bishop Jordan was 94 yrs old when he transitioned. He was Blessed by GOD. Remember to live HOLY everyday. He will be truly missed in our presence.
