Joseph Harold James, 78, of Route 8, Boaz, died Monday in Gadsden. Services were Tuesday from Carr Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Masters and Wesley Garner officiating. Burial followed in Bethsaida Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home directing. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Helen Pence and Shirley Wilder, both of Boaz, and Jacquelyn Wade of Crossville; four sons, Kenneth James and Mackie James, both of Boaz, Wendell James of Attalla, and Truman James of Albertville; two sisters, Lola Sweatt and Leona Hudgins, both of Attalla; one brother, Cecil James of Boaz; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
