Last year was the first Christmas without my Dad and it was a very difficult time for me.  I know you are all missing your sweet Dad on his birthday and for Christmas.   I used to tease Joe that since he was a "Christmas Baby"  he should sit in the manger that was underneath our Christmas tree at Faith Lutheran.  Oh, the look he gave me before he started laughing!  May God's peace be with you all this night and in the coming new year.

Karen and Joe were our dear neighbors across the street in Perry, GA. Very often when I look through our kitchen window it brings them to mind. We were privileged to know them, Cora, Jim, Eric and their families.
Joe was always present to lend a helping hand. He and Karen were wonderful friends and neighbors. We miss both of them very much. Now they'll rest next to each other in peace.

Cora, Jim, Erik and boys, Tim and I are sending You all love and hugs today as we know this is extremely hard for you. We also want to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family over the years and have Karin and Joe be our adoptive mom and dad, especially up at the lake.  No words can really comfort you all at this time, just know you are all loved.
