Joseph's obituary
Joseph Martin Collins, 67, of Farmingville, New York, passed away on July 18th, 2022.
"Papa Joe", as his family endearingly referred to him, was born to Sonia and Joseph Collins in Brooklyn, New York. Joe graduated from Stuyvesant High School in _____ , not only as the captain of the football team, but also the softball, and handball team.
Joe's athleticism and innate leadership abilities would be integral to his service in the Marine Corps. He joined in _____and, after 22 years of service, would retire as the the youngest Sergeant Major at the time.
In _______, Joe would meet Joni, his great love and the mother of his children: Jesirae, Jolene, and Justin, and later Jinjer, whom he considered one of his kids.
Throughout his life, Joe would continue to support and encourage his children in all of their endeavors, ranging from owning a business, to receiving a bachelor's degree in marine biology. Despite its many challenges, Papa Joe would face the world and its unique challenges head-on, always with an enthusiastic demeanor, and gay.
He is survived by his mother Sonia, his step-father Tony, his four children, and his two grandchildren Eli and Matilyn. While we know he is in a better place, it is also with a great sorrow to know he is no longer in this world. Until we all meet again in Paradise.
