Remembering Jose Veliz
It is with profound sorrow and a sense of deep loss that the family of Jose Veliz announces his passing on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the age of 55. Jose was born on October 17, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he lived a life defined by loyalty, immense love, and an incredibly generous spirit.
To know Jose was to know a heart full of devotion. His family was the core of his life; he loved with his whole heart and gave his strength and support freely. He was known affectionately as "Wello" or "Flinstone," nicknames that reflected the warm, enduring, and powerful presence he held in the lives of those around him.
Jose was a powerful and memorable presence to everyone who met him. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing that everyone who had the honor of meeting Jose holds a special, cherished memory with him.
Jose’s powerful legacy of love is carried on by his two devoted daughters, Alyssa Veliz and Cassandra Veliz. His loved granddaughters Madeleine, Breiana, Dalilah, Julia, and great granddaughter Lailani.
He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Carmen Veliz, and his brother, Jorge Veliz. Jose will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, including Rigo, Fernando, Monica, Melissa, Juanita, Angel, Meagan, Anthony, and Susie, and countless other loved family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Jose’s strength and love will remain a guiding light for his entire family.
Funeral Services
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Carrillo Funeral Home in Fort Worth.

• Private Family Viewing: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Public Viewing: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Memorial Service: A service to celebrate Jose's life will begin at 6:00 PM during the public viewing.
