José Tomás Hernandez-Honles, dubbed “Tom” and “Grandpa H” by those who knew him, passed away peacefully during the early hours of April 15, 2023, at the family home in Seattle, WA, after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eugenia, whom he missed for many years, and now rests together with her in the eternity promised to them in their Catholic faith.

A professional Architect, Tom lived a life full of activity and travel, was blessed with 50 years of marriage, had the love of his large family, and made warm connections with anyone who met him. He is survived by his seven children, 10 grand-children, 2 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members whom he loved deeply and with whom he shared his appreciation for diverse cultures, good food, and travel.
