Jose A. Galvan, age 70, of Paterson, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 17, 1954 in Caracas, Venezuela to Miguel and Carmen Galvan. Jose was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, soon to be great grandfather, son, brother and a cherished friend. He dedicated his life to his family, his business, Wood N Counters LLC, and greatest passions, carpentry and fishing. Those who knew him will remember his funny stories, jokes, generous heart, and deep love for his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by Marta I. Galvan, his loving wife of 39 years; his children, Jose, Gerald, Miguel, Antonio, Diana and Cristina; his grandchildren, Tatiana, Gerald, Devin, Leilani, Aiden, Elijah, Jayden, Josiah, Scarlette, Skylar, and Ruby; and his siblings, Luis and Guillermo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Galvan, brother, Miguel Galvan, Jr., sister, Erla Galvan, and grandson, Ethan N. Galvan.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 7pm-9pm at Calvary Temple International - 1111 Preakness Ave, Wayne, NJ.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10am at Calvary Temple International. Procession to Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery will follow. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life.
