Jorrin's obituary
On April 21, 1951, Jorrin Madrid was born to the late Henry Madrid, Sr, and the late Kathleen Madrid in San Bernardino, CA. His family moved to Georgia a few years later and he attended the Mitchell County School System.
Jorrin accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Even in his darkest hour, he never lost faith and knew the power of just calling our Savior’s name. He was employed with Dougherty County Public Works for over 30 years.
Jorrin had a love for family and friends and often visited the sick and shut-in. Jorrin came naturally to mechanical work, gardening, and bragging about his Ford. He also had a very active role in the lives of the youth in his family. Jorrin poured himself into each one, sharing skills that ensure their independence and efficiency in life.
On May 29, 2022, God saw how hard Jorrin had fought and allowed him to shed his earthly body to enter into eternal rest. Job well done. He was proceeded in death by his parents, daughter, Susie Mae Ellis; brother, Henry (Sara) Madrid.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: daughters; Susie Mae Ellis (deceased), Diane (Jimmy) Jones and Briana (Dontavius) Madrid; partner, Elizabeth Mingo, 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
