Jonathon Zachary Hill, affectionately known as Zak, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 45. A beloved husband, father, son, and brother, Zak's life was marked by his dedication to family, country, and service.

Zak is survived by his wife, Melanie Hill, and four cherished children: Owen Hill, 21; Connor Hill, 14; Oliver Hill, 6; and Violet Hill, 4. He is also remembered by his father, Michael Hill, and his brothers, Charles Hill, Joshua Hill, and Matthew Hill.

Zak's life was a testament to his commitment to serving his country. A proud military veteran, he served with distinction for five years on active duty in the Marines and an additional three years in the reserves. He then continued his military career with eight years of active duty in the Army. After his active service, Zak continued his dedication to his country by working as a civilian contract worker for the Department of Defense.

Zak's legacy is one of courage, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held to honor Zak's life and service at 1:00 P.M. on August 10, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church, 315 N Church St, McKinney, TX 75069.
