It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan "JJ" Tipps on July 11, 2023. Known fondly as JJ to close friends and family, though he preferred Jonathan. Jonathan was born on December 21, 1972, and in his 50 years, he touched many lives with his warmth, wit, and unwavering loyalty.

Jonathan leaves behind his beloved spouse, Nikeyn Mcglathery, who was his rock and constant companion. The love they shared was profound and moving, an example of a bond that transcends the physical realm. Nikeyn's words resonate with us all: "He was everything to me. And I loved him with everything I am. I would give anything to take back that day".

Jonathan was a cherished brother to Jennifer Cole, whose memories of shared laughter and tears will forever serve as a testament to their deep sibling love. Jonathan was also an exceptional father to his daughters, Jona and Abigail Tipps. He will be remembered for his profound love for them, his unwavering support and the beautiful, enduring legacy he leaves behind in them.

Jonathan had an appreciation for the finer things in life. He found joy in savoring his favorite drink, Jameson whiskey, and had a fondness for the color Midnight Blue, a hue as profound and enigmatic as he was.

We mourn Jonathan's untimely passing, but also celebrate his life, cherishing the memories, love, and indomitable spirit he left behind. He will be deeply missed and forever held dear in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace.
