My dad passed away on what he would have called the perfect summer day - 82ºF and sunny, gentle breeze. Jonathan Bennett Pines (October 13, 1957 - August 15, 2022), son of Irving and Florence Pines of Flint, MI, left behind brother Michael Pines (Ann) of Flushing, MI, daughter Kelli Heiney (Sean) of East Lansing, MI, and grandchildren Eleonore, Jude, Seamus, Connor, and Mason. Jon was a well-known athlete and proud Michigan State Spartan, a family man, and adored by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in his memorial. Details forthcoming.
