Jonathan and I were each other’s first loves at the age of 13 when we met in middle school, we kept in touch as children and young adults and reached out a few times over social media over the years to say Hi and check on one another then the day I got a call from his sister telling me about his health I was devastated…he and I reconnected that very next morning and not a single day nor hour went by in the past 7 1/2 months that we weren’t texting or calling one another…he asked me several times why I thought god had put us back in one another’s lives now…I had no answer except that Jonathan needed me and I’d never leave him….I couldn’t answer for god…days he was down I refused to let him give up reminding him how important he was to everyone and how much I deeply loved him…he was a one of a kind man, courageous, fighter, loving, caring, sweet, generous with a heart and soul of gold…I keep telling myself he’s in a better place and we will meet again someday and god took him to be an angel because his work here on earth was done…my heart is so broken but my love will forever be his

I was super sad to hear of his passing and only wish that I could have spent more time with him, i was always super impressed with his desire to follow the lord and find the blessings despite the physical and emotional hardships that were going on in his life. he was an amazing example and father to his kids, myself and everyone around him. to say that he will be missed is an understatement.

I am so heartbroken that Jonathan has left this world. I'm relieved he is no longer suffering but we sure need more people in the world like him, not less. Jonathan was one of the most inspirational people I've ever met and I'll always remember the chats we'd have when I was driving home from work...we'd start on one topic and cover about 20 topics by the end of our conversation. After his Dad passed I gave him a little "quilt" with a cross on it...it was literally no bigger than a thumbnail. He thanked me so profusely for it, as though I had given him a big Rolls Royce, he was so appreciative. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, always had that etheral spirit that made me and others feel blessed to be in his presence. Jonathan inspired us with his tenacity and ability to rise above repeatedly despite the toughest and most unfair setbacks. He made us laugh, made us think...and now has made me determined to Live Life Like Jonathan: Love and Laughter.

Jonathan made a positive impact first for his family and "His People," which was pretty much everyone. His was a Giver, a Leader and a Follower in faith. He'd spare the last nickel in his pocket for someone in need. He understood people and I witnessed his courage to carry on. I am thankful for his friendship and know he will look after us who remain in this world. Till we meet again the Heaven above, rest in peace.

We met Jonathan through his employment at 5 Star Ford in 2003 when my husband & our daughter purchased his brand new truck & he was assigned as our care advisor. Over the next 10 years we purchased 2 brand new vehicles, for me & for our daughter & we asked to have him assigned to those vehicles as well!! Our daughter was 12 when they met & she trusted his advice when it came to her brand new car & he always kept up with what had been done or needed to be completed!!! He was definitely a man of his word cuz if he said he would do it then he did!! When our only daughter ran off to go to Texas A&M in Corpus Christie & he still made himself available to help her when her car needed to be serviced & she would bring it back & he would get it in & out for her in time for her to get back to school but when she woke up with a flat from a nail that ruined her tire & he worked his magic here for her there to get a brand new tire from the ford dealership in Corpus & he got to work on it as soon as she hung up with him cuz we had purchased the tire protection & believe we had to pay around $10.00. We actually became friends with him & tried to keep in contact!! He will definitely be missed!!!

Jonathan was such and amazing person. He helped me in so many ways and gave me the career I have. A day wouldn’t go by that I didn’t sit in his office listening to him talk about his life and family. He was an incredible man that taught me so much.

John always had a way with people. He has helped me through so much in the short time we knew each other. John treated me like I was family to the point where I believe he is family. We have gone Whitewater rafting in Colorado, went to Texas to see him and spend time with his family, he took me to Disneyland because everyone has to go at least once, and our last hang out was a Korn concert, because he knew how much I loved Korn. In such a little time we made great memories and I will cherish them forever. I love you John, you were my best friend and I will miss you. RIP
