Being in the kitchen in our Truckee home. I loved hanging out in the kitchen with Beau he taught me some of the best stuff. Like how to cook meat without a timer so that it is always juicy and never overcooked. He showed me how to hold a knife properly and the proper way to cut a tri tip. I miss him so very much. I am happy Calypso our pup was there to great him when he crossed over so she could do a straight hop 5’8” in the air to kiss him in the face again. I love you Beau, so very very much.

Mark and I, Sheri met Beau & Melissa shortly after arriving to Dixie National Park, Navajo Lake in June of 2023. The first thing I remember about Beau was his "Butter" hat, I got a kick out of it. Pretty much fit his carefree spirit! Mark & Beau hit it off pretty quickly, we definitely enjoyed spending time with them. Either by the Lake or either of our campsites. We were planning on returning the following year. Unfortunately life took a Very unexpected turn, Mark passed away one month after returning to AZ. Absolutely devastating. I kept in touch with Beau & Melissa and had planned on seeing them down the road. Well...how Life changes at the Blink of an eye! I still miss Mark dearly and know Melissa cherished her and Beau's Relationship as well. Both of our lives have changed drastically. I know Beau & Mark are ok and probably hanging out together!! Both Beau and Melissa will always have a special place in my heart.

As Beau's eldest brother of six, I will always remember growing up on the Klondyke Road farm and the numerous horses we kept there. Beau's favorite was "Little Black", a pony that made him into the bareback INDIAN he loved 😍 he and that pony were inseparable all night and day. I will miss your brother, I'm glad I made you happy and laugh at my crazy jokes....love you Melissa ♥️

I first met Beau and Melissa through a mutual friend when I was living in the US between 09 and 2013. I always enjoyed spending time with them, such a vibrant couple. Whenever I got to spend time with Beau it was never short of excitement and fun.
Among some of my fondest memories was when Lara and I stopped in at their property/farm for a visit as we were leaving the US and heading back to Australia. So many stories but one was told about the delivery of the live ducklings to the local post office and how they got a call from the post office to say they had received a package and it was making noise, it was the ducklings.
Later that evening we enjoyed a fine duck meal prepared by Beau, not the ducklings, but some more mature ducks ready provide us sustenance after a big day.
That day we spent down by/in the river where the damn releases water at a specific time. I recall us all making the best of the day, chairs literally in the water seeking shade under a tree. This prime position soon became flooded but it was all laughs as we enjoyed the challenge and all that the day had provided.
Their visit to Australia after we had returned is another time I recall fondly, Never a dull moment. We enjoyed riverfire (our cities celebration of itself) in a restaurant down by the river enjoying great company, food, wine and some fireworks.
I’ll miss the random delivery of the latest batch of Beaus special chilli sauce. It didn’t always make it through customs to Aus, but when it did it was treated like liquid gold and used only for special occasions knowing the effort and love that went into it.
My deepest condolences to Melissa, Beaus family, and all the people that met and loved him.
I’ll miss you buddy.

My absolute favorite memories are tubing down the American river. Me and Beau would always take the most adventurous route. My favorite Time of my life!

Anton and I had so much fun making mischief with you both at little Morgan's. I remember you sleeping on those cheap cots in the dorms for what seemed like months with your little adventures into the bush for some privacy, Beau in the kitchen trying to make decent bacon and crackling from the locally slaughtered pigs, us going on horse rides round the island and buying properties next to each other on the lake front. My other fond memory was when you both came to visit us in Melbourne. We had such a good feed and plenty of drinks, but the image of you two drunkenly chuckling, waddling up the hill away from our house to catch the train has always been an image I loved and wished I had an actual photo of.

It was soon after I arrived on the Vineyard that Marty said, you have to meet my friends Beau and Melissa and it wasn't just because Melissa and I were both Australian, it was because they were both super cool. I always had so much fun with them on the Vineyard. It was followed by holiday trips in Dominican Republic, then visits to NYC when I lived there, seeing them in Cali and even the rare trips when they made it to Australia since I have moved back.
Beau wasn't that fond of Australia the country but he would sometimes yell out "I love Australian women" which would be accompanied by something like a big hug around Melissa and I, or laughs and giggles or a jump in the water.
A true Epicurean, our times usually involved food, and water, swimming and hanging around talking and chatting. One of my favourite quintessential Beau days is a picnic with the dogs next to the stream near Beau and Melissa's farm in California. The sun was out and when they let the dam water out at the expected time the water raised up and we swam and let the water wash us downstream. We got a little too much sun that day. The day was long and lovely and we ate and sat around and all enjoyed each others company. We had duck that had been on the smoker that night for dinner around the fire. We stayed up late, time stood still, we didn’t have anywhere better to be, nowhere to rush to, we where were we were meant to be. That is how I will remember Beau.
