Jonathan's obituary
My beloved husband, Jonathan Joseph Gibson, passed away on July 8th at his residence. He was 37 years old when he passed.
Jonathan completed his Associates Degree in Engineering at San Jacinto College in 2007 after which he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University in 2009. He tutored at the Student Success Center since 2005 until the time of his passing in 2022 and tutored Math, Science, and Engineering subjects. He also worked as a Structural Engineer at Burns and McDonnell, Houston from 2012 to 2022. Jonathan's pride was in his work, and he shared his passion for education with everyone he has tutored and mentored. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of The Salvation Army, and a member of San Jacinto College Choir.
Jonathan enjoyed spending his time outside of work fishing with friends and family. He was a big-time bike guy and would never stop making things with his hands amongst his endless hobbies. He would make jokes with everyone he meets and was so down-to-earth. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met and was a loving and vibrant person that shared good humor and a big smile. I can't imagine how empty it would be to continue to live without him being here with us. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. He is survived by wife, mother, sister, friends and family. Rest well, Jonathan. We love you and we will meet again in the next life!
