Jon Franklin Melrose, 72, of Marietta, OH, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at has residence. He was born on August 29, 1947 in Miami, FL to Robert L. and Jewell Fussell Melrose.
Jon had served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a master mechanic.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Melrose (Harry Santiago); son, Robert J. Melrose; grandchildren, Jamie, Lindsey, Makenzie, Dylan; three great grandchildren; his mother, Jewell Melrose; sister, Jewell Pounds; sister in law Marsha Melrose former spouse, Helen Melrose and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L Melrose; wife, Helene Melrose and a brother, James Melrose.
A military graveside service will take place at 1 PM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.
