Jon "Jonny" Tracy Magnussen, age 59, passed away on October 10, 2022 in Liberia, Costa Rica. Jonny was born in the twin cities to John and Mary Ann (Nyland) Magnussen on January 17, 1963. Jonny was an avid animal lover, and seemed to befriend every dog he met. He also loved live music and spent much of his free time at local shows. In true Deadhead form, Jonny even spent some time following the Grateful Dead on tour.

Jonny is survived by his daughter, Amber Magnussen; brothers, Randy Brosvik (Brenda Brosvik) and Chris Magnussen (Cindy Magnussen); nephews, Brandon Brosvik (Jessica Brosvik) and Michael Wavinak; and nieces, Bridget Villeta (Jose Villeta), Amy Wavinak, and Kaycee Loop.

Preceding Jonny in death are his parents; sister, Pam Wavinak; and brother-in-law, Rick Wavinak.

A Memorial service will be held at a date, time, and location to be determined.
