I'm very sorry for the loss of John he was a wonderful man peac in light.
I was at USAF electronics tech school with Jon in 1985. We would often sit together in class and Jon would crack jokes -- nearly getting both of us in trouble. He was smart, and talented, and funny. Off duty, I would sometimes hang out with Jon at the piano at the rec center. He would improvise humorous songs -- he could play and sing almost any style! He was a good friend who gave me moral support during those months. I have thought of him often over the decades. My condolences to Jon's family.
