Jolinda's obituary

Jolinda (Jody) Turner, 66, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 21, 2023. Jody was born on January 21, 1957 to Howard and Lela Sibert in Fort Wayne. In 1977 she met Kevin Turner at a Fort Wayne Komets hockey game and married soon after. They remained married until her passing. They had their first child Shad in 1978. Their second child Tara in 1980, third child Joshua in 1981, and fourth child Brian in 1983.

Jody dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She loved supporting her children in all of their activities, including but not limited to color guard (band) and sports. Jody was passionate about baking, music, and reading books. When she wasn't supporting her family she could be found in her rocking chair reading her favorite novels. She will be greatly missed.

Jody was predeceased by her father (Howard), mother (Lela) and two brothers (William and Robert). She is survived by her husband (Kevin), four children Shad (Tiffany), Tara (Lance), Joshua (Leah) and Brian (Amanda), seven grandchildren (Gabrielle, Brianna, Cody, Skylar, Austin, Tyler, and Macayla), and sister Tina (Paul) Christensen.

A Memorial celebration will be held at Northside Park Pavilion located at 2510 Parnell Ave, Fort Wayne, IN in the upper pavilion on January 21, 2024 from 1-3pm. In lieu of sending flowers or gifts please bring a new children's book to the memorial that will be donated to Kate's Kart in Jody's name to support her joy of reading.
