On May 28, 2022, Johnny Quinney departed this life at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Mason Quinney; Sr., wife Irene Peterson; three sisters Alice Quinney, Bertha D. Barnes, and Lucille D-Berry; six brothers Willie Quinney, Colby Quinney, Rig “Harper” Quinney, Sr., Boston “Big Joe” Quinney, Mose Quinney, and Mason Quinney, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; one son, Calderon Texada (Sandra) Houston, TX; seven daughters, Sharon Sykes, Alexandria, LA; Jacquelyn Beverly-Branson (Darrion) Shreveport, LA; Johnnie Quinney, Buena Park, CA; Janina Quinney, Lancaster, CA; Stephanie Miles Beauregard, Shreveport, LA; Kanika Anglin (Lawrence) Houston, TX, and Tammi Thomas, Lafayette, LA. One brother Henry Quinney of Alexandria, LA, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
