  • Johnny was always nice to me when I worked in the kitchen as an assistant. One day, knowing that I was getting a lot of yelling from my head cook (used to call me "Stony"), Johnny came in and said, "Palmer- take a break! Somebody is here to see you!" He had a smile. I walked out front to the bar area only to see a young lady. It was Linda, my first girlfriend. The jukebox played "The Lady is a Tramp," and we had a brief and sweet reunion. The point here is that he knew what was going on in the kitchen and wanted us to have a decent day, not just work.  Miss you, man!
