Johnny Cade died because when those kids in the church were bout to get burnt up he saved them but the church fell on him and he had a 3 degree burn. And he saved those kids out the burning church
Johnny idolizes gang member Dallas Winston. Dally is living proof that one can survive without parents or family. Johnny needs to follow in the footsteps of someone in his life and Dally, his hero, is the on he chooses. The brothers are greasers a class term that refers to the gang young men on East Side, the poor side of town. There are just small bunches of friends who stick together. And the other gang members represent extended family members to himWhenever a fight start's he is always trying to stay out of the way but when Ponyboy ends up nearly getting killed by the Socs, he doesn't hesitate to save his friends from near death. Though Johnny does not succeed in school, he approaches intellectual matters with the steady concerntration. The child of Alcoholic, abusive parents Mr&Mrs. Cade. He is nervous and sensitive since his parents do not care for him, Johnny sees the greasers as his true family. Johnny Cade is the greasers pet. They describe him as a lost puppy. Johnny was born March1,1949, and died 1965.
