I never really talked to him but he was in all of my classes in 9th grade. I feel horrible because I used to have the biggest crush on him but he was always dating someone. But he always made me laugh in class. I can't believe I just saw him last summer and now his bright smile is gone. Johnnie I hope you know that I will never forget you and will always have your little light in my life. God please protect him....

I am so very sorry for everyone's loss. Johnnie was always such a funny little kid, that you couldn't help but to smile when he was around. He was so full of energy yet showed such patience when it came to our shenanigans (Katie, Kelli, me...just to name a few). He will be greatly missed. Johnnie boy & I always Had a special way of communicating ! And Many times could make the other smile when they was upset
So that being said ;
One day I was having a heated argument w/ someone outside . And when I came back into my house .johnnie. Boy came up to me & gave Me a Big hug as he said
"love you aunt Kell" with out thinking as i kissed him on his head & ,told. Him "I love him more & get the other kids dinner will be soon". After he did what I asked , He stood in the doorway of the kitchen & said. To me
" Aunt Kell, your Like the blk one in the family " as I seat the kids. & Put. Dinner Out on the table I answered " Yeah well it's ok. Every family has a blk sheep " .
He laughed as he replied back
"No aunt Kell ....only when you get mad " ! Well being embarrassed & not having a response to give my nephew I just looked at him & smiled. To what only words I could say was. " Well johnnie boy time & place for everything but now it's time for dinner " as we smiled at each other& he nodded at me, We knew what that argument was about outside that day & we both knew how much. I love him & ain't much I wouldn't do for family ( then , today & forever) !
I'll never forget that day for many reasons: but Johnnie boy & I well we saw & respected each other a little more that day !

God knows I would love to see him Again & hear him laughing just sitting at the table having dinner with family just once more
