John William Morris, 94, passed away in his sleep on July 18, 2021 in Fairhope, AL. He was survived by three of his children, Greg, Kyle and Kim; two grandchildren, Kensey Morris Boyd and John W. Morris II; and two great grandchildren, Greta and Piper Boyd.

John was born in Eufaula, AL and grew up in Macon, GA. He graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor's degree in history after a two-year stint in the Navy. In 1952, he married his sweetheart, Alleen Jones, with whom he had four children and spent 67 years until her passing in 2019. His eldest child, Christy, passed away in 2020 after a long struggle with cancer.

John spent 29 productive years at IBM as a project manager, first in Owego, NY, then Huntsville, AL, where he worked on the Mercury space program, then later in Manassas, VA.

He had a wonderful, sharp wit, loved games of all types, and worshipped his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was adored by his children and will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
