Dear Belta, Kevin and Jesse
I am so sorry that I am only now sending you condolences for Johns passing. I had no idea that John was sick. I was fortunate to be able to speak to him while at Stop n Shop. We had a nice chat and I spoke to him about guitars as usual. He started as a customer at my guitar shop but quickly became a friend. I am so sorry that I missed his funeral.
John was a wonderful friend and talented musician. He lived for two things, Music and his family.
I will miss John and shall think of him often.
Sincerely
Gene Kelley Sr.

Dear Belta, Kevin and Jesse,
Please accept our deepest condolences on John's passing. He was a great guy, an excellent example of being a father, and a person who was highly respected by all that knew him. The Wilcox family holds a special place in my heart as every single interaction with John was a positive one. We are sure that Kevin and Jesse became fine men like their dad, kind, loving and respectful and I for one am very grateful for knowing such a good person.
Sincerely,
Brian and Kristen Hyde & Family

I was lucky enough to have known and worked with John since the 1980's. He was a very talented photographer and videographer . More importantly a good friend. We enjoyed many a pint after a full day of creating wonderful memories for families. I will miss him a lot.

So grateful for John's presence in our jams and in our lives. A kinder soul and gifted musician. Missed by all. Loving condolences to John's family and close friends.

John became a music friend of mine in the early 2000's here on Cape Cod. We played sessions music together and I even ended up buying my tenor banjo from him. He was kind, fun and a caring friend. His love of music was huge. He will certainly be missed.

John and I attended the same High School but were a couple years apart. I met him through our shared interest in music and we were in a band "Crystal Sound" together for a summer during the 70's. I left the East Greenbush area in 1977 and we lost touch for many years. We reconnected at a Class of the 70's picnic several years ago and became Facebook friends after that. We corresponded frequently about life, music, and other topics including his health issues awhile back. I had last heard from him just after this past Thanksgiving. He was a wonderful musician and a good friend. I will miss him and his frequent Facebook posts. Rock n roll Heaven has a new musician.

Jammed with John many times over the past 3 years in a basement band. Always a true gentleman with a big smile that matched his heart.

So sorry to hear about the loss of John. Curiously, I never met him in person as we became FB friends due to him commenting on a post I put up about my old 1970 VW bus. He clearly loved old VWs as well as his passion for music. We also share the same surname, but as I live in England (UK) it was not possible to meet up. I really loved his liberal and caring attitude which always came across. His passing means the world is a poorer place, as we were all richer for having him as a friend.

We all miss and love you, Uncle John. They got another member for the great jam band in the sky with you. Peace to you and your family. I will do my best to be here for my wonderful tia Belta and my amazing cousins Kevin and Jesse. Love to you all.
