Mr. John Henry Whatley, departed this earthly life on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the age of seventh-four years, in Merced, CA. Born August 18, 1946, in Catoula, GA. son of the late John Green Whatley and China Foster Whatley. John will be laid to rest along the side of his late beautiful wife Rita Ann Whatley (deceased) fifty-five years of age.

He leaves to mourn his devoted and loving son and daughter in-law Michael Leon Whatley and Joy, a daughter Angela Nicole Whatley and grandchildren: Devin R. Whatley, Avery N. Whatley, Noah R. Whatley all of San Diego, CA. and Whitney N. Shelton, Issac J. Flores of Merced, CA. One brother Melvin Whatley of Macon, GA. and sisters Freda Boyd of Cleveland, OH, Christine Lightfoot ( Douglas) of Tobaccoville, NC, Betty Whatley of South Carolina (Thomas), Johney Mae Berry (Richard), GA, Jacqueline Flowers (Richard), Evelyn Richardson (Leon), Carolyn Sobutay (Erol), Martha Clark and Linda Robinson all of Columbus, GA; a host of other relatives and many friends. John was loved by countless individuals whose lives he touched and encountered.
