John's obituary

I met John Warren when he was 21 years old. His glory days as a celebrated athlete at Amarillo High School were long gone. He was deeply in love with the woman I call Mom. I grew along with the young man who I came to love as my Dad.
John was the youngest son of five, born to a mother and father who adored him and are waiting to embrace him in Heaven, along with his baby sister Carolyn (lost so long ago). His brother Tim, who he always admired and adored is also waiting there for him as well as his brother Will, his rock and closest friend. John’s brother Ricky, always comforting and supportive to all the family sends his love and bear hugs.
My Dad found a trade as a union boilermaker in which he excelled, thrived in, and proudly represented until his final day. The man was a golf enthusiast and could hold his own against any golfer anywhere. He was the blue-eyed charmer of so many ladies who missed out on all the love his huge heart yearned to share. He proudly displayed his eccentricities that have left many stories to share. He loved to keep you on your toes in lengthy discussions on philosophy and the mysteries of life. He never forgot a relative’s birthday, which kept him close to the family that he has always cherished. Dad taught me that hard work and knowing my dictionary wouldn’t let me down. He had lifelong friends that share loyalty, and memories that are just as strong.
John Warren passed peacefully at home, surrounded in love from Andy, Piper, Joda, Bob, and Bells by his side. Our feet are planted firmly on the ground, and our hearts are made stronger because of him. He had respect, dignity, and the biggest circle of love that a heart could ever embrace. We miss you. We will always love you. We could not be who we are without you in our lives. I speak for all of us.
His loving daughter, Jessica.
*In lieu of flowers, as they say, gift a loved one with a blanket some time. My Dad was always trying to make sure we were all warm and comfy all the time.
