Junior's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John "Junior" Robbins Jr., better known as Junior, on November 28, 2023. Born on January 23, 1962, Junior was a man whose heart was as big as his personality. He was best known for his kindness, undying love for his family, and his ability to stand up for himself and what he believed in.
Junior is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Robbins; his children, Mandi Robbins and Matt Robbins; his grandchildren, Landon Robbins, Abigail Parks, Allie Parks, and Tristan Robbins; his sisters, Jovella Wolfe, Barb Moore, and Kathy Moore; and his brother, Tommy Jones. He also leaves behind his nieces, Kathy Campbell, Lisa Blackburn, Kristy Moore, Jamie Morgan, and Morgan Lester; and his nephews, Jason Moore and Ronnie Moore.
Junior was predeceased by his parents, John and Bea Robbins; his brothers, Howie Robbins, Buddy Jones, and Bill Jones; his sister, Sue Jones; and his cherished mother-in-law, Mildred Slagle. Tracy Wyatt , Scott Lowe and Doug Slagle were a few of his good friends.
A man of simple pleasures, Junior loved brown beans and corn bread, relished a cold can of Mt. Dew and enjoyed the drama and action of western TV shows. A proud Harley rider, Junior found serenity at home, his favorite vacation spot. His passion for his family was reflected in every aspect of his life and he would give his last dollar to someone in need.
Standing tall as an epitome of a compassionate man, Junior's legacy will be his kindness. He was a man who taught his children to be courageous, independent and kind. He was a hero to his children and a guiding star to his grandchildren. The love and respect he had for his family and friends were reciprocated in every aspect of his life and in the lives of those he left behind.
We remember Junior today as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His family holds cherished memories of his love, his vibrant personality and his big-hearted nature. Junior, we will miss your infectious laugh, your wisdom, and the love you generously bestowed on all of us. Your legacy continues in our hearts and minds. We love you.
