I'm so sorry to be posting only now - I just recently hear the news. I met John on our first day at high school. We were firm pals from the first, but after I left town to train to be a teacher of chemistry and science (subsequently teaching for 35 years at "Queen Elizabeth High School" (QEHS), Edmonton, Canada, we lost touch. We reconnected about 15 years ago via the magic of email, and swapped many a yard about the good old days. My condolences.
