John Tyler's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of an incredible young man who left us far too soon.
John Tyler Garrow, of Newport Richey, Florida, passed away on Christmas night, December 25th, 2024.
John Tyler was born on June 5th, 1994 to Alfred Garrow and Elizabeth “Hope” Hewins in Leonardtown, MD. He attended Chopticon Highscool.
Born and raised in Southern Maryland, John Tyler touched the lives of so many with his kind and genuine heart. He loved life, laughter, and the people around him.
In 2020 he relocated to Florida, where he met his ex-wife Lisa, and created and built a beautiful life and became a loving and caring father to her daughter, Alaska. He was not only a devoted father but also an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
John Tyler was full of life and brought joy wherever he went. He had a passion for cooking, playing pool, fishing, kayaking, and watching his favorite football team (Steelers) play. He was a hard worker and could tackle any construction job he was on. His love for kids and family was evident in everything he did. He worked hard, loved deeply, and gave selflessly.
He now joins his younger brother, Anthony, in Heaven. Although the loss is unbearable, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited in eternal peace.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Michael “Chick” Garrow, Julia Garrow, Cathy Garrow, his Uncle Mike Garrow, his brother Anthony Garrow, and his cousin Jace Niland.
He is survived by his Mother and Father; Hope Hewins and Fred Garrow of Hollywood, MD, his grandparents Lyman and George Ann Hewins of Leonardtown, MD, his sister Lauren Yates of West Palm Beach, FL, his aunt Susan Jahn (Doug), his uncle David Garrow (Lisa) of Mechanicsville, MD, John Garrow of Leonardtown, MD, uncle Stephen Hewins of Dallas, TX, and many many aunts, and uncles, and cousins on the Garrow and Hewins side, as well as many close friends.
To his family and friends grieving this tremendous loss, may God grant us all strength and comfort as we remember his incredible spirit and celebrate the impact he made on all of our lives. John Tyler, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest peacefully.
A celebration of life for John Tyler will be held on Saturday January 25th at 2pm, at the VFW Post 2633.
