John's obituary

John Traylor, 84, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on April 21, 2023 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. 

John was born on April 29 1938 to John Wesley Traylor Sr and Leona Connelly in Rockford Alabama. After graduating from Rockford High School, he went on to join Air Force and became a decorated solider and engineer. He later enrolled into St. Louis University to obtain his Masters in Engineering which carried him to start his electrical engineering company.  After graduation, he landed his first job at Cummins Allison in St. louis as a technical engineer. In [, he was married to Dorothy Marbury, and they wed in 1964 to going on to have 2 children, John Traylor 3rd and Michelle Adams (Traylor). John was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.  John was also a passionate about gardening and could often be found in his backyard when he wasn’t at work. Anyone who knew john knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. john was predeceased in death by 3 sisters and his parents . He is survived by his lovingwife of 62 years Dorothy Traylor and 2 children, one brother and a host of neices and nephews. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to the home. There will be a homegoing service Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 2:00pm Union Memorial United Methodist Church St. Louis Missouri.
