FATS's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John "FATS" Thomas, fondly known by all as FATS, who was born on September 11, 1958, and left us far too soon on December 25, 2024. FATS was a man with an infectious sense of humor, a lover of family, and a steadfast Buffalo Bills fan. His legacy as the family comedian will forever be cherished and celebrated.
FATS was a wonderfully unique individual, known for his quirky passion for the artist 2Pac and his favorite color, red. But it was his love for spending time with family and friends that truly defined him. Unforgettable memories were created during these gatherings, many of which involved him charming everyone with his jokes or masterfully playing cards, another of his favorite pastimes.
FATS was not only a funny man but also a compassionate soul. He deeply cared about his family and always strived to make everyone around him happy. Even his preferred form of exercise, 'Juice', reflected his love for life and laughter.
A reflective of his giving nature, in lieu of flowers, a fund titled "Help with Funeral Expenses" has been established. Donations can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of…. This would be a fitting tribute to FATS, and assist in saying a deserving farewell to a man who brought so much joy and laughter into our lives.
The void FATS leaves behind will be impossible to fill but in our hearts, his spirit lives on. He was the light, the laughter, and the soul of every gathering. His jokes, his love for cards, and his signature chuckle will echo in our hearts forever. His legacy as the comedian of the family will continue to inspire smiles and laughter in our family for generations to come.
