John was an awesome Christian man, a great family man and father, as well as a brother in Christ. I remember riding around his mother-in-laws RV with our family and his so we had a full house. The crazy things we would say and do inside and we will park and go for a walk along these railroad tracks and through bushes and things. I don’t know why one night at our house? We were talking about a bus and it had to do at the schools it was probably around 11 PM and we went out to look for it. John could praise and worship like nobody’s business. He was a great influence on me and my relationship with Jesus Christ. We would hang out together when he had Johnny Appleseed, the landscaping business, and he was a very hard worker and taught his kids to do the same. Lajla, his wife is the same way, just as crazy. One night I don’t know why we did it but my hair was a little longer and she gave me a perm. I felt like a Greek goddess. That’s without drinking or doing anything just normal shen-EVANS-agins (shenanigans)!!!
I remember when our families went to Pismo Beach in our van and it says stoop by anytime because I’m a chiropractor. We rented a hovercraft, which was the only one they had JOHN took it out with JOSHUA, however, when the wave went out, he let up off the gas and the hover graph hit the bottom, and they both went flying forward, with JOSHUA going over the dash in the window, and into the water, and John hitting himself on the console. Next thing you know the park ranger got my wife my wife’s hanging out the window driving down the beach looking for me so that I could drive the hovercraft back. Later on the ambulance is at the top parked, and we were parked next to it and the guy got out who was from UCLA a big guy who played football and asked if I would give him an adjustment. I said if you take care of my friend JOHN and bandage him up, I will give you an adjustment in my van, and he agreed. I sure do miss him and doing all those fun things with his family. I love you, John and your family rest in peace and I know you’re looking down on us laughing, as well as praising and worshiping.

John was dear to my heart. I picked him up for Sunday School and church, was his Sunday School teacher and Youth leader. It was my great joy to see how he served God in his adult years and the many people that he influenced for God. I miss him, but anticipate a great reunion in Heaven. Sympathy to his wife, children and grand children. He was a great guy.

I have the most fond memories of my buddy, John. Starting in 7th grade where we went rolling skating every Friday night with our group of friends. Going to my home afterwards for hot cocoa and cookies that Mom made. John was one of my best friends. I loved him dearly. John was just so kind, funny, humble, caring. He was everything wonderful. I have his picture on my computer so I can see his smile from time to time. I miss him and was so sad he wouldn’t be sitting at my table for our 50th reunion. He was an amazing shining light and I know his life wasn’t easy. My parents adored him too. I’ll see you in Heaven John when that day comes. I’ve always remembered you in my heart and with such joyful memories. I love and miss you dear friend. I bet you’re cracking everyone up in God’s heaven.
With much love,
