Born on Jan. 14, 1945 in Commerce, GA, he was the son of the late Johnny Lee and Mary Strickland Sears. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include sons, John Sears, Nicholson, Brody Sears, Nicholson, Landon Sears, Commerce, Logan Sears, Commerce; daughters, Haven Sears, Nicholson, Cheyenne Sears, Danielsville; brother, David Sears, Carnesville; sisters, Julie Garrett, Commerce, Leeann Sears Smith, Mobile, AL; and five grandchildren include Alyssa,Tiffany,Tiarra,Holly,Mike. He had four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Wilbanks officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday 10 am until time of the service at the funeral home.
