John's obituary
John was born on February 14, 1968 in Madison, IN to Gail and John Schwartz. He graduated from Fridley High School in 1986 and continued his education attending Southwest Minnesota State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 1991. On May 15, 2010 John married Laura, his beloved girlfriend of 6 years and they began to build a family. On August 24, 2010 and February 14, 2012, he welcomed into the world his two amazing sons; Nate and Tyler, who were the most important part of his life.
John was a devoted husband and father. He adored his beautiful wife Laura and was passionate about being the best father and role model for his boys. John was a kid at heart and was known for entertaining the neighborhood kids from Nerf wars to pool parties. In his free time, you could find John rocking out to his favorite band Duran Duran. He had a passion for comic books, Marvel and all things related to Super Heroes. John’s favorite holiday was Halloween and every year he made their home a must-see destination for the neighborhood kids with his impressive Halloween decorations.
John was passionate about multimedia and had extraordinary skills as a webmaster. He spent the last 22 years of his career working at MatrixCare as Senior Digital Marketing Manager. He was a leader in the office and a mentor to many.
John’s smile was infectious, and his laughter could light up the darkest room. He was a kind man and always willing to help a friend or neighbor in need.
John is survived by his wife, Laura Schwartz (Dohse); his two children Nate and Tyler Schwartz; his mother Gail Schwartz; his sisters: Lisa Hennen, Patti Sparks (Steve) and Pam Montgomery (Greg). John is preceded in death by his father John T Schwartz.
John will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.
