Dear Lisa and family.  I’m thinking of you at this time of year when we shine lights in darkness.  This fall,  a huge Friesian horse joined the herd where my horses are.  When I stand with him, I am reminded of John and Tron.  They both had such presence and gentleness.  I studied at TBAH Cores with John and felt what it must be like to have a loving older brother looking out for me.  I loved being with both of you at Summits and the talks we shared.  I trust that light shines for you this season and that you feel its warmth.  With lots of love, Allison

Lisa,

I will always remember the day when I met you and John. My wife Amanda and I came over to purchase your raccoon, beaver and squirrel mount on the Aspen tree. I remember as I walked down the stairs into the trophy room my eyes widened and my mouth dropped at the glorious wildlife setting you had. I relive the excitement John had explaining his extensive hunting trips on each of his mounts I asked about. I was in awe. I could have stayed for days listening to him. I often think about those stories he told me that day. Regularly at times I found myself repeating those stories about John to my friends. I have to smile right now thinking that Amanda  and I were taken back by the generosity of you and John offering to follow us and drive the mount to my home.  I recall telling Amanda in the car as you were following us, that people like you and John were a rare find. I immediately friended you and John on Facebook in hopes that I would hear and see more of his adventures. It was from your posts I realized the love and passion you both had for wildlife, life and each other.  It was, and still is, beautiful. I was in shock when I saw your announcement on FB and admit I shed tears.  I find it amazing that that one meeting had such a profound memory and impact on me. It speaks a lot of his character.

Stand strong Lisa. Prayer warriors and I are lifting you and your family up asking for comfort and understanding daily.

Your FB friend.

Shawn.
