John's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Angelo Salvago — a devoted father, loving husband, and cherished friend — who left us too soon. John, aged 70, peacefully departed this life, surrounded by the love of his family, on June 4th, 2025.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, and his children: Meredith (BJ), Jordan (Shawn), Haley, and John Michael (Lexi). John was a proud grandfather, leaving behind cherished memories with his grandchildren: Jacob, Vivian, William, Rozlyn, and Indiana. He is also survived by his sisters, Rosemary (Charles) and Donna (Jimmy), and his many nieces and nephews.
He is now reunited with his beloved daughter, Jessica Salvago; his stepdaughter, Aly Hamilton; his brother, Louis Salvago; and his parents, Rosalee and John Salvago.
John had an immense love for nature and possessed an extraordinary knowledge of plants. This passion led him to co-own The Greenleaf Garden Center with his brother Louis — a thriving business they nurtured together for many years. The garden center was not just a livelihood but a reflection of John's deep-rooted love for the earth and all its beauty.
An avid lover of the ocean, John found peace and solace beneath the waves. Whether he was relaxing on the beach, scuba diving, or snorkeling, he felt a profound connection to the underwater world — a place where he could fully immerse himself in the tranquility of nature.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit, warmth, and kindness touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with family and friends.
John will forever be in our hearts.
