John S. Eichinger, age 71, of Lakewood, WI, passed away on November 24, 2025, at Aspirus Health Care in Wausau, WI. John was born on March 9, 1954, in Appleton, WI, to the late John A. and Mary L. (Stewart) Eichinger.

John was a hardworking man who spent much of his life building and running family businesses, including John and Mary’s Island Resort and John Eichinger Trucking. He was known for his determination, resourcefulness, and the way he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

John is survived by his son, Brian Eichinger (Tina Myhill); his daughters, Kelly Eichinger (Josh Miller) and Kristy (Jon) Land; and his grandchildren, Brenton, Quinten, Colton, Gemma, Aleah, Levi, and Mason. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Sultze and Sue Eichinger; his nephew, Jeff; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, David and Roger.

A celebration of life will be held at St John's Lutheran Church, 17963 Hwy 32, Townsend, WI, December 12 th, from 3pm to 6pm.
