John “Matt” Rylee, Sr. (68), aka The Ole Great Cool One, lost his final battle with cancer and passed away on January 17, 2024, at his home in Ponchatoula. Despite spending the last 30 years battling multiple illness and disability, Matt never lost his sense of humor.
