John's obituary

John H Rolof, 79, passed away Tuesday March 3rd 2020 at his home in Ridgecrest, CA.
John H Rolof was born October 23rd in 1940 in San Diego CA. He joined the Navy and served our country for 6 years. He met his wife Elizabeth Rolof in Trona, CA married for 53 years. John enjoyed fishing, camping, sports and raising his family. John took pride in his 3 children Shawn, Tamisha, and Marchelle. John for many years served as his two daughters umpire in their softball league. John has a total of 9 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters, as he would say “Enough for my own softball team”, and 3 grandsons he didn’t feel so outnumbered by women when he found out. John Rolof spent most of his free time outside of raising his family fishing on any lake he could find, making jewelry, and bowling. His idea of a perfect day was on a boat in a lake with Hotel California by the eagles blaring through the radio of his boat.
John’s final wish will be fulfilled in the summer of 2020, off of the coast in San Diego with his family. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his son Shawn, and daughter Marchelle and preceded by his daughter Tamisha.
