Jack's obituary
Jack retired from Holt Public Schools in 2014 and continued to spread his wisdom and passion for teaching and coaching with cross-country travels to Washington state and ultimately, Acworth, GA. Jack touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with, whether in a classroom, on a field/track or just in friendship. He was loved and respected by all that knew him and he always had a story to share, advice to give, or just a hug at the right moment.
Jack is predeceased by his infant son, Thomas and his parents, Max (Dick) and Patsy Rarick. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue, sons, Daniel (Sara) and Alexander, and daughter, Abigail and was Papa Jack to three grandchildren, Colin, Jackson and Gabby. A Celebration of Life, laughter and sharing of the many "Jack" stories will be celebrated in Holt as soon as it is safe to hug and share without socially distancing.
