John Russell Quam of Mound, Minnesota passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife Helen, four children: Bob (Joan), Bruce (Sally), Kristi (David), Thomas (Jill), six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his brother: Robert (Kathy). John was raised on a farm in St. Thomas, North Dakota where he met and married Helen 67 years ago. His career in construction led them to Mound where they fell in love with the area and stayed these past 55 years. Always up for a road trip, John and Helen visited all 50 states and enjoyed stopping at national parks during their travels, John delighting in roadside vintage farming equipment along the way. He formed many loving relationships, adored his grandkids, and was quick to strike up a friendly conversation with everyone he met. John's integrity, honesty, and love for his family and friends was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be missed. In Lieu of flowers please send memorials to Good Shepard Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be held October 1, 10am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am
