Born on December 29, 1962, in Alexandria, Virginia, to John and Irene Prendergast, Jay lived a life full of energy, joy, and connection. A proud alumnus of the University of Virginia, he was a passionate supporter of UVA athletics and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his teams.
