Jack's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Chester Osmolski. Born on May 22, 1935, John lived a full and vibrant life until his peaceful departure on June 30, 2024.
As a fond story, Dad was the oldest of three brothers and a sister. He married the love of his life and in turn his two brothers married his wife’s two sisters. Talk about keeping it all in the family!
John is survived by his loving children: daughters Debbie Torres and Karen Krutul, and sons Scott Osmolski and John Osmolski. He was a beacon of love and guidance to his children. The strength of the bond he shared with them will endure and continue to illuminate their lives.
The pages of James Patterson books were his favorite but he was eager to read anything to keep a sharp mind. Television shows such as Lawrence Welk brought him joy and much comfort. He found escapism within the reel of his favorite films, "It's a Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas", timeless classics that reflected his optimistic and heartwarming spirit.
Cheering for his beloved Chicago Cubs, John found a sense of camaraderie and shared excitement. His afternoons were filled with live horse racing and cheering on the long shots! His love for recreational activities was not limited to spectator sports, as the hum of casino games from his iPad often filled the room, a testament to his playful side. Dad had great belief in his faith, and if he was called on the phone while watching 11:00am mass on TV, most likely it would go to voicemail.
John's life was a tapestry of loving relationships, keen interests, and warm memories. Although he will be sorely missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
RIP Dad, you now have no more pain, and back in the loving arms of your beloved wife where you have wanted to be for so long.
