John's obituary

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our brother John J. O’Rourke III, 60 of Methuen, MA. on Monday June 2, 2025, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester NH from a sudden cardiac illness. He was surrounded by loved ones and family.

John was born on September 7th 1964, in Santa Barbara, CA. John was the second son of the late John Joseph O’Rourke Jr. and Madelyn Claire O’Rourke of Stoneham, MA.

He bids farewell to his partner of 15 years Tanya Marshall, her daughter Angela Labelle of Sandown NH, Angela’s fiancée Kyle McCartney of Plaistow, NH. He also leaves behind his brother Gerard A. O’Rourke and his wife Karen of Methuen, MA. sister Julianna M. O’Neill and husband Dennis of Thornton, NH.  sister Denise A. Giammasi and husband Michael of Methuen, MA. brother Justin J. O’Rourke and his partner Annie Kemper of Chester NH. 

He was loved by several nieces and nephews whom he adored as well as many friends who will miss him dearly.

John participated in many school and club sports programs throughout his life. He had a lifelong love of the game of hockey, his younger years spent in the Stoneham youth hockey leagues. One of his favorite times was coaching with his brother, Tony.
