John Herman Oppermann Jr. (also known as Rock or Rocky), age 73, of North Fond du Lac WI, passed away on March 30th 2026.

Rock was born on July 7th, 1952 in Waupun Wisconsin to John and Cecilia Oppermann where he grew up with his brothers and sisters. This was also where he met Debrah Duer. In 1970 Rock married Deb, they shared 2 children and over 55 years together until her passing earlier this year. He is survived by his son Corey Oppermann Sr(Michelle), daughter Tonya Rank(Steve), grandchildren Courtnie(Meghan), Natasha(Mike), Marissa (Joseph), Natika(Dennis), Star(Alex), Mya(Ryan), Kiya, Taylor(Tabatha), Corey II(Miranda), Christian(Kaitlyn), Shelby(Logan), Cheyene(Brad), and great grandchildren Rylee, Kade, Leium, Brandon, Malachi, Elijah, Ryker, Killian, Allie, Laken, Piper, Adaline, Iris, Alaina, and Jude.

Rock went on to join the U.S. Navy and was medically discharged. He spent much of his career working as a foundry worker but earned his GED later in life and retired as a forklift driver for Walmart DC. Outside of work, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, and woodworking. Most if not all who knew him loved him. Rock is survived by siblings Sally Roberts, Rosie(Bob) Wucherer, Sandra(Harlan) Flier, Ann(Bob) Keyser, Cecil Oppermann, and Barbara(Scott) Eckstein. He was preceded in death by John Oppermann Sr (father), Cecelia Oppermann(mother), Anthony (Tone) Oppermann(brother), Herman (Pete) Oppermann(brother), and Debrah Oppermann(wife).
