This is my little brother, the one I kept close just because. But, life got in the way. John knows what I mean. It was a life that we fought hard for. It wasn’t fair. But, we made it work the best we could. We lost each other… but never forgot where we came from. I wish we could have connected again. I know he knows how much I love him. Gods speed John.

Girls, we are so sorry you are going through this.  No one could make you laugh the way he did.  I hope you take comfort that he is finally with his parents, where he has always longed to be and that you will see him again soon.  We love you and are here for you in any way you need for us to be.  Love

Mom and Daniel.

My condolences to John's daughters and his brothers Mike and Jim and his older sister Cathy. John was my first love. We met at Randol Mill Park in Arlington, TX in 1979. We were smitten and moved in together shortly thereafter. He was 16 and I was 15. We were together almost 4 years and I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. When he got out of that place a few years ago, he looked me up and we had many several hour phone conversations reminiscing about the times we had shared together, and filling each other in on what had happened in each other’s lives over the past 30 years or so. I am grateful for that and for the John I knew and loved. Back then his favorite song was Free bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. So I have to share the first few lines.. I love you John, Fly High

If I leave here tomorrow, Would you still remember me?

For I must be traveling on now, 'Cause there's too many places I've got to see

But if I stay here with you, girl, Things just couldn't be the same

'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you cannot change

Madison, Morgan, and Mariah, we send our deepest condolences to you as you grieve the loss of your father.  John was a kind man who loved his family.  May he rest in heavenly peace.
