Moritz, John, aged 74, of Macomb, MI passed away on June 22, 2020, at Troy Beaumont Hospital, after battling a very aggressive form of cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Vaysabel (Frank); his daughter, Sandy Couckuyt; his son, Gary Couckuyt (Jane); his grandson, Blake Couckuyt; his grandson, Troy Couckuyt; his brother, Mike Moritz; his brother, Joseph Moritz Junior. John was a retired school teacher at Fitzgerald High School in Warren, MI and was also a Tax Accountant for most of his adult life. He belonged to Hope United Church of Christ and enjoyed singing in the choir. He enjoyed a good meal and time spent with family. John was especially known for his kindness and generosity and will be forever loved and greatly missed.
