John was born in Germany and lived most of his life in Fayetteville NC. His father Gerald H. Nelson was Special Forces Green Beret and Mother  Maria was from Germany. His wife Faith still resides in Fay. with her extended family. Johns sisters  Linda Wright and Sonja Cain, brother Gerald Nelson along with  his nieces and nephews and many many other extended family members in the USA and Germany will forever love and miss him.  John will be cremated and interned at his wife's family plot in Hope Mills NC
